Make skills easier to understand.
Connect Microsoft technology experience with a clearly defined responsibility. Professionals can explain the work behind their skills; employers can describe the contribution their team needs.

Choose your route
The information that helps a professional introduce themselves also helps an employer describe the right role.

Make the conversation specific
A title or credential is a starting point. Explain the work behind it.
Your responsibilities
Explain what you owned, the decisions you made and who depended on your work.
Your project contribution
Describe the problem, your contribution and the result. Use examples you have permission to share.
Your skills and credentials
List the tools you use and relevant credentials, with dates and supporting details where available.
Your next step
Explain the work you want to do, your availability and where you want to develop.
Before you contact Talents Gateway
Clear expectations before you make an enquiry.
Does an enquiry guarantee a role or a hire?
No. An enquiry starts a conversation about your background or requirement. A role, assessment or engagement is confirmed separately.
Can Academy help me develop relevant skills?
Explore Academy learning areas and discuss your starting point with INFOC. Learning and a talent enquiry are separate next steps.
Make capability visible at the right level
A technology name or job title cannot describe the whole person. Explain the work, the evidence and the level of responsibility together.
Name the task and the part you personally handled. Distinguish configuring a process, writing an extension, building a report and supporting an existing environment. Explain who used the output and what problem it addressed.
Use a sanitised project summary, sample lab, code walkthrough, process map or runbook. Identify whether it comes from learning or delivery. Add relevant credentials and dates as supporting context, with a clear account of what they demonstrate.
Explain which tasks you can complete independently, which need review and which are new to you. For employers, define the decisions the role must own and the support already available. This makes expectations more precise than a seniority label alone.
A professional can identify a target responsibility and a skill gap. An employer can identify the work outcome and required contribution. Use Academy when capability development is the immediate need, and Talents Gateway for the professional or team requirement.
Compare responsibilities, not just titles
These examples help professionals describe their experience and employers explain the level of contribution their team requires.
Developing capability
Can complete a defined exercise or task with guidance and explain the steps taken. Describe the review needed, the environments used and the next skill to practise. Learning evidence is valuable when its context is clear.
Independent contribution
Can deliver a bounded task, test the result and document a handover. Explain how you handle exceptions, communicate progress and recognise when a decision needs input from a process owner or technical lead.
Technical or delivery leadership
Can shape an ambiguous requirement, compare options and take responsibility for decisions across people and systems. Use examples that explain trade-offs, dependencies, quality review and how the work was made maintainable.
